No, thanks. I only like coffee in the morning, not in the afternoon. What are the children going to do next?

Mommy

Well, while I’m getting the coffee, you go talk to them and find out. After I make the coffee, I’ll get Pat’s birthday cake.

Daddy

Mommy

I know you do, but don’t eat too much. Too much cake is not good for you.

Daddy

All right. Just let me know when you’re ready to come in with the cake. Then, I’ll get all the children to stand up and sing the birthday song to Pat.

Mommy

Do you think they all know the words of the birthday song?

Daddy

Yes, I’m sure they do. They always sing that song at birthday parties. Maybe some of the younger children don’t know all the words, but I’m sure all of the older children do.
