81. The chase
Natalie, Alice and Detective Smith run after Robert Green as the police car cannot fit in the alleyway he has gone down.
Alice: This alleyway is so dark!
Natalie: I can’t see anything. Do you think he’s hiding somewhere?
Alice: I can hear him breathing.
Detective Smith: Wait. Let me turn my torch on.
Alice: Much better! There, behind those rubbish bins, something is moving!
Detective Smith: Quiet! I’m going to sneak up….
Cat: MEOWWWW!
Alice and Natalie: AAAAAHHHHH!
Detective Smith: Calm down, it was just a cat! But where has Robert Green gone?
Alice: There he is, at the other end
Detective Smith: Let’s go!
Natalie: He’s a fast runner!
Alice: He turned left!
Detective Smith: There are lots of winding streets around here. He wants us to lose sight of him. Let’s split up again. Natalie, you go right. Alice, you go left. I’ll go straight. I don’t think he’s dangerous, but if he has a gun you should get down on the ground.
Natalie: A gun?! But he’s just an ordinary thief….
Detective Smith: Natalie, you never know what people are capable of doing for money!
