▎有時候 A, 有時候 B, (yǒu shíhòu A, yǒu shíhòu B), sometimes A, and sometimes B

 

Function The 有時候 A ,有時候 B refers to two alternating possibilities of instances within a given situation.

1 我有時候吃中國菜，有時候吃越南菜。

Wǒ yǒu shíhòu chī Zhōngguó cài, yǒu shíhòu chī Yuènán cài.

Sometimes, I eat Chinese food and sometimes, I eat Vietnamese food.

2 在圖書館的時候，我有時候看書，有時候上網。

Zài túshūguǎn de shíhòu, wǒ yǒu shíhòu kànshū, yǒu shíhòu shàngwǎng.

When I am in the library, sometimes, I read, sometimes I use the internet.

3 放假的時候，我有時候在家寫功課，有時候出去玩。

Fàngjià de shíhòu, wǒ yǒu shíhòu zài jiā xiě gōngkè, yǒu shíhòu chūqù wán.

During days off, sometimes, I stay home and do homework, sometimes, I go out and enjoy myself.
