jiē xiàlái wǒ yào gěi dàjiā jiǎng ge gùshi, wǒ zìjǐ de gùshi.
Next I'd like to tell you all a story. My story.
wǒ de dàxué zài shìjiāo, zhōumò huíjiā yào zuò liǎng ge duō xiǎoshí de bānchē . yībān wǒ dōushì bào zhe shūbāo, dài zhe ěrjī, bàn dǎ zhe kēshuì lái xiāomó zhè duàn shíguāng. bùguò cóng nà tiān kāishǐ, zhè yīqiè dōu gǎibiàn le.
My university is in the suburbs and so when I go home on the weekends I need to take a bus for 2 hours. I usually hold my bag, put on my headphones and doze off to kill the time. However, from that one day forward, everything changed.
yīnwèi tiānqì yīxiàzi zhuǎn liáng, rènkè lǎoshī shēngbìng méi lái, suǒyǐ zhōuwǔ shǎo le jǐ jié kè, ér wǒ yě néng zǎodiǎn lí xiào huíjiā.
Because at the time the weather had suddenly turned cold, many teachers hadn’t been coming to school. That Friday there were a few less classes and I was able to go home early.
wǒ xiàng píngshí yīyàng shàng le bānchē zhǎo le ge chuāngkǒu zuòwèi zuòxia, tāochū ěrjī zhèng zhǔnbèi dàishang. bùjīngyìjiān, fāxiàn le zài wǒ qiánmian, yǔ wǒ gé yī ge zuòwèi, zuò zhe yī ge nǚhái. suīrán shì bèiduì zhe wǒ, dàn qīngxiù de bèiyǐng yǐnqǐ le wǒ duì tā de wúxiàn xiáxiǎng. tèbié shì tā nà wūhēi de tóufa hé máhuābiàn, háiyǒu biànzi mòduān de hóngtóushéng, fēicháng biézhì tuōsú. bānchē guò le liǎng zhàn tā jiù xiàchē le. dàn zhè yīlùshàng, wǒ shuìyìquánwú, lián dàozhàn xiàchē de shíhou hái zài chuǎicè tā de yàngmào.
I boarded the bus as usual and found a window seat. I sat down, got out my earphones and was getting ready to put them in. Then, suddenly, I realized there was a girl sitting one seat ahead of me. Even though I was sitting behind her, just the elegant view of her back was enough to draw me into an unending daydream. In particular, it was her raven-black hair. It was pulled back into a single braid with a red hair-tie fastened onto the end. It was so unique yet refined. After the bus had gone only two stops, she got off. That time around, I couldn't sleep at all. Even until the last stop I still was guessing at what she might look like.
wǒ de dì yī gǎnjué jiùshì, tā yīdìng shì dàyī de xīnshēng, zhǎngxiàng yīdìng fēicháng piàoliang. xìnggé shì qiàopí háishi wēnwéněryǎ? fǎnzhèng yīdìng shì wǒ xǐhuan de nà yī xíng. bùguò méixiǎngdào de shì, zhīhòu liánxù de liǎng ge zhōumò, wǒ dōu zài huíjiā de bānchē shàng kàndào le tā.
My first impression was that she was definitely a freshman, and a beautiful one at that. Maybe she had a witty personality, or maybe she was gentle and cultivated, who knew? Either way, it was the type I liked. However, I didn’t even realize that for the next two weekends, I would continue to see her on the way home.
tóngyàng de zuòwèi, tóngyàng de yīzhuó, tóngyàng qīngxiù de bèiyǐng, tóngyàng de hóngtóushéng hé máhuābiàn. yǒu jǐcì, wǒ yǒuyì cèguò shēn xiǎng kàn yīxià tā de liǎn. dàn tā hǎoxiàng chájué dào shénme yīyàng, bǎ tóu zhuǎnxiàng lìng yībiān. nándào shì tā fāxiàn le wǒ de jǔdòng? wǒ xīnli ànàn de zài xiǎng: xiàcì zuòchē yīdìng yào zuò dào qiánmian, nǎpà méi zuòwèi yě yào zhàn zài chē qián. ài! duìle, kěyǐ zài chēzhàn děng tā a. érqiě yīdìng yào zhǎo jīhuì hé tā dāshàn, wèn ge diànhuà hàomǎ shénme de.
The same seat and same clothes. Same delicate view of her back, same red hair-tie and braid. A few times, I tried to pass by her so I could take a look at her face, but she always seemed to know what was up and turn her head to the other side. Is it possible that she knew what I was trying to do? In my head I was secretly thinking: ‘Next time I take the bus, I’ll sit up front. Even if there's no seats, I'll just stand there. Oh, I got it! I can wait for her at the bus stop. Then I'll definitely have an chance to strike up a conversation and ask for her numer or something.'
kěyǐ shuō, yùjiàn tā, gěi wǒ kūzào de dàsān shēnghuó zēngtiān le xǔduō huólì hé chōngjǐng. qǐnshì de shìyǒu zhīdào hòu yě yīzhí shuō wǒ zhuàng táohuā, qíngdòuchūkāi le. zhuǎnyǎnjiān, dào le dì sì ge zhōumò.
You could say, meeting her put a little life into my dull, third-year student existence and gave me something to look forward to. After my rommates found out, they kept saying I'd finally gotten some good luck and that I was really starting to notice the girls. Then, in the blink of an eye, the weekend of the fourth week arrived.
