If it's not Bruce Li it's Jackie Chan. They really know kung fu. Jackie Chan's style is showy but impractical. It's more of a performance.

Jackie Chan actually knows kung fu. Since he was young he played a fighter in Peking Opera. And just relying on his enthusiasm for fighting, and the guts to be afraid of nothing at all, he burst onto the scene.

The biggest part of the credit for Chinese kung fu being world-famous has to go to Bruce Li.

tā de dìwèi dāngrán méideshuō. bùguò wǒ yīzhí gǎo bùqīng, tā dàodǐ shì nǎ yī pài gōngfu?
Of course his status is secure. He combined more than twenty kinds of Chinese and foreign martial arts, and established his own method, Jeet Kun Do. It's commonly accepted in the martial arts world as the peak of actual combat and aesthetics. And Bruce Li was a philosopher. He used movies to transmit the spiritual essence of martial arts.
B 這就是他了不起的地方。他結合了二十多種中外功夫，獨創自己的截拳道。武術界公認是實戰和視覺的頂級結合。而且李小龍還是一個哲學家，通過電影把武術的精神傳播出去。

True...These days so many foreigners like kung fu. Most of them saw Bruce Li's movies. There's no way Jackie Chan and Bruce Li could reach that level.
A 這倒是，現在那麼多外國人喜歡功夫，大多數都是看李小龍的電影。成龍和李連杰沒辦法達到這種高度。

He's truly the best who's ever been. But I also like Bruce Li. He has a real aura of dignity and righteousness. And he's the best actor of the three.
B 這就是空前絕後。不過我也很喜歡李連杰，他身上有一股正氣。而且演技也是三個人裡最好的。

He certainly is the most professional of the three. Ever since he was small he's practiced martial arts. He won several national championships. He's really strong on the fundamentals.
A 他倒是三個人裡最正規的科班出身。從小習武，拿過好幾屆全國冠軍，功底特別紮實。
tā dàoshì sān gè rén lǐ zuì zhèngguī de kēbānchūshēn. cóngxiǎo xíwǔ, ná guò hǎojǐ jiè quánguó guànjūn, gōngdǐ tèbié zhāshi.
To this day I remember his movie ``Shaolin Temple." He used his hands, feet, and knives like a true master. But it seems like he's not as influential overseas as Jackie Chan.
B 我到現在還記得他的那部電影《少林寺》，拳、腳、刀樣樣都出神入化。不過他在海外的影響力好像不及成龍。

In the old days Jackie Chan was Bruce Li's successor. He got support from the companies, and went to Hollywood quite early. The most important thing about him is that he cleverly blends martial arts and entertainment, so the audience for his films is broader than Bruce Li's.
A 成龍當年就是李小龍的接班人，受到公司的力捧，而且去好萊塢又早。最重要的是他很巧妙地把武術和娛樂融和在一起，所以他電影的受眾面比李連杰廣。

Everybody who watches Jackie Chan's movies just sees the performance aspect. His hand and body movements are very showy, but real experts can tell there's not much depth. And his attacking power is no great shakes.
B 大家看成龍也就是看他的功夫表演。在影片裡他的身手特別炫，但是行家看起來就沒什麼深度了，攻擊力也不強。
