▎尤其是, yóuqí shì, especially
Function The adverb 尤其 is used to show that what you are saying applies more to one thing or situation than to others. 尤其是 usually occurs in the latter part of a sentence.
1 這學期的功課給他很大的壓力,尤其是口頭報告。
Zhè xuéqí de gōngkè gěi tā hěn dà de yālì, yóuqí shì kǒutóu bàogào.
The homework this semester is really stressing him out, especially the oral reports.
2 過春節,小孩都很開心,尤其是拿紅包的時候。
Guò Chūnjié, xiǎohái dōu hěn kāixīn, yóuqí shì ná hóngbāo de shíhòu.
Kids really have a great time during the Spring Festival, especially when they get red envelopes.
3 中文很難學,尤其是聲調和發音,得花很多時間練習。
