Now, Uncle is driving everybody back to his house. It is nearly two o’clock, and Daddy wants to go home quickly. He wants to go back to his house so he can do some work in his garden. Daddy’s garden needs a lot of work.

Lee didn’t like the pictures very much. He did like the food, and he really liked the ice-cream. When it was time to go, Mommy told Lee to get up from his chair. She told him to get up, but Lee didn’t hear her. He didn’t hear her because he was still looking at the ice-creams.

Lee ate two ice-creams in the restaurant, and he wanted to have another one. He wanted to have another ice-cream but Mommy would not let him have another one. She said two ice-creams are more than enough. Mommy knows ice-creams are very expensive in that restaurant.

Auntie told Pat that next week she will take her shopping. Auntie wants to go shopping for clothes because she needs some new skirts to wear to work. She also wants to buy one or two new shirts for Uncle. She told Pat that the skirt she is wearing today is nearly seven years old. Auntie thinks she really needs to buy some new clothes this year.

Pat was very happy to hear that next week she can go shopping with her auntie. Pat likes her auntie a lot, and she really likes to spend time with her. Pat really likes to go shopping, too. She doesn’t want to wait until next week. She wants to go shopping right now!

Uncle

Yes, you can. You can come and visit us on any Saturday or Sunday. You can spend all of Saturday and Sunday here if you want. We have enough bedrooms for everybody in our house.

Lee

I’d like that. We had a really good time today. I really liked the restaurant we went to. Do you know? I had two ice-creams!

Uncle

What about your sister? How many ice-creams did Pat have?

Lee

She didn’t have any ice-cream. After her lunch, she had a glass of orange-juice and Mommy only wanted to drink water after her lunch.

Uncle

Yes, your mommy only wanted to drink water because she knows water is not so expensive.

Lee

Do you know, Uncle? Next week, Daddy is going to take me to a computer shop. Can you come with us?

Uncle

Pardon? Would you say that again, please? I didn’t hear you.

Lee

Can you come to the computer shop with us? I know you know a lot about computers.

Uncle

Yes, I think I can go with you. Is your daddy going to buy you a computer?

Lee

No, not yet. We’re only going to look. Daddy wants to wait until I am ten before he buys me a computer. I’m nearly ten now—I’m nine and a half.

Uncle

Nine and a half? Oh, so you won’t have long to wait. I’m going to buy a new computer soon. I’ll come to the computer shop with you, and if I buy a new computer, maybe I’ll give your daddy my old one.

Lee

And then maybe Daddy will let me have your old one, and you can show me how to use it. I think you know everything about computers.

Uncle

Not everything, Lee. Nobody knows everything.

李

姨夫，非常感謝你讓我們來看您。我們過得很愉快。

李
