Now, it is Saturday morning and everybody is in the car. This morning, they are going to drive to Auntie and Uncle’s house. They are going there because Mommy likes to visit her sister on Saturdays and Sundays. Lee and Pat’s auntie is Mommy’s sister.

Daddy is driving the car. He is driving very carefully. Daddy always drives carefully. Lee is sitting in the front, next to Daddy. Mommy and Pat are sitting behind Daddy and Lee. Mommy doesn’t like to drive the car very much. This Saturday, she wants to let Daddy drive. She thinks that Daddy drives better than she does.

Lee

Yes. Those flowers are really beautiful. There are four or five different kinds of flowers. There are pink ones, yellow ones, red ones and white ones.

Daddy

I know. I was in the flower shop when Mommy bought them. And I was in the bread shop when Mommy bought some of that nice new bread to take to your auntie.

Lee

You really like that new kind of bread, don’t you? You ate all the bread Mommy bought yesterday. Are we there yet, Daddy?

Daddy

No, not yet, Lee. I ate a lot yesterday because I was very hungry. I didn’t only eat bread. I also ate a lot of chicken, potatoes, tomatoes and onions. I ate a lot of everything!

Lee

Why do you eat so much? Is it because you’re so big?

Daddy

I don’t know. When I was a young boy like you, I ate a lot, too. When I was young, I liked every kind of food. I always asked my Mommy to give me more.

Lee

I think, when you were young, you were the same as my friend Tom. He likes every kind of food, and he always asks for more.

Daddy

That’s right, isn’t it? When Tom comes to our house, he always eats a lot, and he always asks for more. Now, stop talking so much so that I can drive the car.

Lee

All right, Daddy.

Daddy

Thanks.
