Lee and Pat want to go into the pet shop, but they don’t know if it is open yet. Daddy goes to the pet shop door and tries to open it. He sees that he can open the door, so now they can all go into the pet shop.

Daddy and the children wait for the man or woman who works in the shop to come and help them. Daddy and Pat walk around and look at some of the birds in the shop. Pat really likes the parrots. “I think these parrots will be expensive,” says Daddy. “Clever birds like parrots are always expensive.”

Then, Lee sees a man come out from a room behind the shop. Lee thinks he is the man who works in the shop, so he walks over to ask the man some questions about the animals in the shop.
