Function This pattern presents a fact that applies only to the object of 對. The statement may not be true to others.

1 對台南人來說，早餐非常重要。

Duì Táinán rén lái shuō, zǎocān fēicháng zhòngyào.

For the people of Tainan, breakfast is very important.

2 對喜歡中國文化的人來說，故宮博物院是一個值得參觀的地方。

Duì xǐhuān Zhōngguó wénhuà de rén lái shuō, Gùgōng Bówùyuàn shì yí ge zhíde cānguān de dìfāng.

For people who like Chinese culture, the National Palace Museum is a place worth visiting.

3 一件羊毛外套8000塊錢，對我來說，太貴了。

Yí jiàn yángmáo wàitào 8000 kuài qián, duì wǒ lái shuō, tài guì le.

For me, NT$8,000 for a wool coat is too expensive.

4 對日本人來說，寫漢字不難。

Duì Rìběn rén lái shuō, xiě Hànzì bù nán.

For Japanese, writing Chinese characters is not hard.

Duì Zhōngguó rén lái shuō, Chūnjié, Duānwǔ Jié, Zhōngqiū Jié shì yì jiā rén tuánjù de rìzi.
